Brand History
Founded in 2001 by Zheng Chunying under Jala Group (renamed Chando Group in January 2024), the brand's decisive bet was the CS channel: while domestic brands fought international players in tier-one department stores, Chando pushed into county and township cosmetics shops, using back-room services to build trust and a network of tens of thousands of outlets that later absorbed the e-commerce shock.
Its product story centres on the Himalayas — polar yeast, gentian — with the Little Purple Bottle serum and Himalaya mask reaching the widest audience; online now accounts for nearly 70% of revenue. Revenue rose from RMB 4.44bn in 2023 to RMB 4.60bn in 2024 and RMB 5.32bn in 2025 (+15.6%), with adjusted profit of RMB 413m, up 102.9%. The group filed for a Hong Kong listing in September 2025 and refiled in April 2026.
