*Jumeili (聚美丽) · 2026-10-26 · Enforcement / Safety* **原文:** 又现“毒面膜”,检出禁用原料 Guangzhou's market regulator published a penalty on 20 October against Guangzhou Qingcheng Cosmetics (广州倾城化妆品有限公司), which commissioned the manufacture of a “Hanxiang Lingzhi Yeast Peptide Skin-Tuning Mask” (汉香灵芝酵母肽调肤面膜) that tested positive for clobetasol acetate. The compound is a corticosteroid and is banned from cosmetics in China. Fine plus confiscation came to RMB 420,000. The company accepted the test result and waived its right to a re-inspection, and the bureau consolidated related cases. Clobetasol is among the most potent topical steroids in clinical use: in a mask it produces a fast, visible reduction in redness and itching, which is exactly why it recurs in “toxic mask” cases — the effect masks inflammation while prolonged exposure thins the skin barrier. The case is the third enforcement action Jumeili has reported in a week, after a RMB 3.27m penalty for counterfeit SK-II and Helena Rubinstein goods moving through bonded cross-border e-commerce, and the revocation of a 25-year-old manufacturer's licence.
