News Center · Policy & RegulationJennifer Lawrence's mes° Bets on Biotech, Not Star Power, to Sell Hair Care
*Qingyan (青眼) · 2026-10-30 · Brand launch / Hair care* **原文:** 又一“奥斯卡影后”做洗护了! Jennifer Lawrence launched mes° on 27 October, a hair-care brand built on what it calls bio-designed formulas. She is not licensing her name to a contract manufacturer: the Oscar winner co-founded the company with Jasmina Aganovic, founder and chief executive of Boston biotech beauty firm Arcaea, and the two hold equal 50-50 stakes. Arcaea was spun out of Ginkgo Bioworks in 2021. Three products lead the range — a repair mask applied to dry hair for either a five-minute or overnight treatment, a root-volumising spray built on proprietary ARC-5 technology plus a Mediterranean microalgae active, and a two-phase styling serum using AirSilk C15-19. They retail at USD 34-52, roughly RMB 219-335, sit in the mid-to-high hair-care tier and sell only through the brand's own site. The commercial logic rests on a category Grand View Research values at USD 88.2bn in 2025 and projects at USD 150.5bn by 2033. In a crowded celebrity field, the differentiator is the research partner rather than the founder's following.
