Original headline (CN): 第四届广州国际美妆周启动,千亿美妆产业加快迈向全球品牌
The fourth Guangzhou International Beauty Week opened on November 5 at the Baiyun International Convention Centre, running November 4-8 under the theme "Greater Bay Area, Trending Global" and co-hosted by the municipal government and the Guangdong Medical Products Administration. Alongside it came the 2026 Guangzhou Cosmetics Industry White Paper, whose headline figures are unusually concrete: city output value passed RMB 120bn in 2025, a seventh straight year above RMB 100bn and the highest of any Chinese city. Exports reached RMB 6.48bn in January-July 2026, up 33% year on year, to more than 170 countries. The pitch has shifted from capacity to capability: 52 new cosmetic ingredients were filed citywide by the third quarter of 2026, about 12% of the national total, supported by one national engineering research centre, 37 provincial engineering technology centres and 20 provincial enterprise technology centres. Districts have assigned roles — Baiyun manufacturing, Huangpu science, Nansha cross-border trade. Guangdong's drug regulator used the event to release support measures, while NMPA's Yan Zhi called for innovation, safety and openness in that order. Detail --- 4th Guangzhou
