Capital Eyes Dissolving Microneedles: Strategic Backing for Zhongke Weimicron

2026-11-06 · VRBT Research

Capital and industry attention are converging on dissolving microneedles. Public filings show Zhongke Weimicron (Beijing) has secured strategic investment at a post-money valuation of ~RMB 150m with 101–300 staff — the first Chinese company to industrialise microneedle transdermal technology end-to-end.

The logic is clear: efficacy skincare has entered a 'format competition' phase where microcrystal patches show clear advantages in local scenarios like the eye area and anti-wrinkle; meanwhile the pharma and device upside is larger, with Class-II registration and standards influence as scarce assets.

Supply is heating up too: Zhuhai Youwei and Shenzhen Qinglan are accelerating acne-patch industrialisation, upstream HA matrix and recombinant collagen supply is mature, and SKU counts and search interest for the category keep climbing on e-commerce platforms through 2026.

VRBT take: capital will keep allocating along certainty — platform OEMs first, category brands second, upstream materials third. For smaller brands, co-development with platform firms remains the realistic low-barrier entry into the format dividend.
